In line with Airtasker’s mission to support the VCARB team members whose efforts aren’t seen by the public but are the reason the car makes it to the track, Airtasker is taking center stage on essential race-day kit, including garage tool storage, HVAC air dryers, front and rear jacks, pit crew uniforms, helmets, sleeves, race suits, and pack-up team shirts—putting the brand in front of a global audience of 903 million. This move builds upon Airtasker’s international expansion, building on its $51 million investment in media partnerships across Australia, the UK, and the US in 2024.

Airtasker will work with four VCARB heroes showcasing critical garage moments that define success on the track.

A Chat with Tim Fung: Passion, Racing, and the Unsung Heroes of Motorsport

I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Tim Fung, the CEO of Airtasker, the Aussie company now sponsoring the RB Formula 1 team. What started as a conversation about business and sponsorship quickly took a turn—straight into a deep dive into motorsport passion, teamwork, and some personal flashbacks of my own spirited automotive adventures.

Anyone who’s grown up loving cars knows the feeling. The late-night drives, the winding roads, the thrill of pushing limits. For me, Mooney Mooney comes to mind—a scene straight out of Crocodile Dundee, but swap the bush for high-performance machinery. And, of course, we’ve all had those moments. Like the time I crashed my parents’ friend’s Jaguar XJS at 13… Thankfully, she didn’t find out—until her 50th.

Beyond the glitz of F1—beyond the superstar drivers and the high-profile team highlights—there’s an entire world that makes it all possible. A motorsport team isn’t just about the big names; it’s about the countless men and women behind the scenes, each one striving to be the absolute best at their craft. The mechanics, the engineers, the logistics teams—every role is critical. A misplaced tool, a wrongly labeled shipment—small details can mean the difference between success and disaster.

Talking with Tim was a reminder of what makes this sport so special. It’s not just speed. It’s the people, the precision, and the passion that drive everything forward.
