We've attended many a luxurious Super-car/Hyper-car and Classic Automotive events over the years..

We've provided DJs and Grammy award winning Singers as well as Professional Racing drivers to some of these events over the years. From F1 to 24h Series in Europe to Supercar Festivals in UK and overseas.

That's how we 1st made contact with Salon Privé, The Bagley Brothers and their team.  Pitching for Hospitality and Entertainment services along with Event Marketing for their recent London event at the Royal Chelsea Hospital.

I'd heard of the Salon Privé name of course but hadn't had the opportunity to attend in the past and had no real clue to the quality and levels that this Automotive/motorsport Event worked at.
We soon found out, as from start to finish, it was clear to see that these guys meant business.

We met nice and early, at the stunning grounds of the Royal Chelsea Hospital, which if you knew your history a little, has hosted some of THE most decadent and unbelievable events in history. The venue was founded by King Charles 2nd and designed by Sir Christopher Wren.  Click HERE for a little history lesson..  ;)

The opening and "press day" took place on a gloriously sunny and warm Spring morning, and we had the unique opportunity to see 12 "Automotive Reveals" form some of the most prestigious Car manufactures in the world.

H.R Owen Ferrari brought along the Ferrari 296 GTB as well as the incredible Daytona SP3 which looked stunning..

As Aston Martin ( Mayfair) team unveiled  the new Beast of a SUV, with the DBX707, which roared into action as it became visible. This is a very quick vehicle and we hope to arrange a full test drive/review very soon.

Both Caton and Charge Cars, chose the Salon Privé's event to showcase their amazing vehicles.  The Classic Austin Healey by Caton was a gorgeous piece of engineering and the Mustang, from Charge Cars, got us really hot under the collar. They have created an "fully" electric, zero emission version of the Fastback 67. ABSOLUTELY catching the Mustangs style and presence  but with the planet in mind.  We look forward to working with Charge Cars in the future and hope to have some exciting news to follow soon.

We MUST though, as a Motorsports Media Company,  applaud the guys from Tushek, who brought along two "very" light, hybrid racing vehicles, which were fantastic. The TS900 Apex will take the market by storm, we believe. Its sexy, quick and compared to many GT racing cars, the price is very attractive.  We LOVE this new range and hope to get out on the circuit with it soon.

The Morgan Motor Company were also in attendance with their Super 3, and funky 3 wheeled vehicle. As were Alpine, Rolls Royce, Dallara, Lamborghini and Bugatti, showcasing some lovely new models..  ( see attached videos )

Genesis, for the 1st time, were showcasing the elegant "ALL ELECTRIC" G60.  This is one of the nicest looking EVs we've seen in a while. Loads of leg room, gorgeous interior AND exterior.  A VERY sleek vehicle with lots of appeal for the higher end market of car buyers.  Really liked this a LOT.

Kimera Automobili were also present with some classic Rally Cars from the Lancia range but.. their showstopper was phenomenal. The EVO37 was very impressive. This "legendary" beast from the 80's has been redefined and has the elegance of a new stylish Super car and that tail.........  WOW!!   Its a head turner for sure.

We also had the pleasure of speaking with Robert Warr about the fantastic new ranges of Harley Davidson Motorbikes.. Especially the new Electric "Livewire" beast of a bike.....   Plus their new range of electric bicycles..  Very clever.

Concours de Vent ....

Some of the world’s leading specialists were attracted by the "first-ever" Concours de Vente , and ALL were united in their support for the innovative format, in which each of the 50 cars entered was also being offered for sale.

The winner of the Prix d’Honneur

The Classic Motor Hub’s 1954 OSCA MT4, which had competed in period at the Le Mans 24 Hours, the Mille Miglia – on which it won its class in 1956 – and the Targa Florio.

SECOND PLACE
Berrnato Hassan Bentley, which was entered by Vintage Bentley. Developed by renowned engineer Walter Hassan for Woolf Barnato, it broke the Brooklands lap record several times between 1934 and 1938, and holds the Class B record in perpetuity – Oliver Bertram having lapped the banked Surrey circuit at 142.60mph.

THIRD PLACE
DD Classics picked up this honour, courtesy of its Mercedes-Benz 300SL ‘Gullwing’, which won the 1956 European Rally Championship in the hands of Walter Schock and Rolf Moll. Beautifully restored by Mercedes Stuttgart, it’s believed to be the only matching-numbers factory competition ‘Gullwing’ in existence.

The Chelsea Pensioners’ Choice

Went to Warren Kennedy’s 1954 Austin-Healey 100, while a 2004 Ferrari Enzo entered by Furlonger Specialist Cars was given the People’s Choice award. The success of the Concours de Vente was demonstrated by the fact that more than one-third of the cars presented on the lawns were ‘under offer’ by the time the sun set on Saturday.

JKS RESTAURANTS Catering...

Guests had the pleasure of sampling numerous delicacies from the likes of the Michelin Starred Gymkhana, BAO, Brigadiers, The George and the Cadogan Arms throughout the weekend, and we had some delicious offerings during our visit. VERY well run with their online ordering system, which worked like a dream.

Those "VIP Hospitality" clientele were treated to a delicious "three course" meal and afternoon tea at "The Sloan".  Louis Pommery served champagne ALL day at various keep areas of the grounds and some very tasty cocktails were served by the friendly staff at The London Essence Co bar... We're positive a LOT of gin was consumed that day..  ;)

DEC’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal 2022

Event Chairman Andrew Bagley said: ‘The atmosphere has been unforgettable throughout the event, and everyone has agreed that it’s great to be back in the capital. Salon Privé London has delivered everything that you’d expect – superb cars, first-class hospitality and a prestigious location – but with the added innovation of the Concours de Vente. The fact that more than £120,000 has been raised for the DEC’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal makes it particularly special.’
