The BSB ( British Superbike) weekend at Oulton Park was nothing short of thrilling, with riders showcasing their skills and determination on the track. Despite a dry and cloudy start to the day on Saturday, the weather cleared up by late afternoon, setting the stage for some intense racing action.
Glenn Irwin stole the show by topping the free practice times, narrowly beating Tommy Bridewell. The Hager PBM Ducati rider set a blistering pace, coming just 0.002s shy of the lap record.
Championship leader Ryan Vickers faced a minor setback with a crash at Hizzys but still managed to claim the third fastest time. Cheshire Mouldings BMW Motorradโs Rory Skinner made his return to Oulton Park, finishing ninth.
Sunday saw more excitement as Kyle Ryde secured his first pole position of the season, edging out Glenn Irwin. The OMG GRILLA Yamaha Racing team celebrated as Ryde claimed the top spot on the grid.
In Race 1, Irwin continued his dominance by clinching victory for the Hager PBM Ducati team. He fended off Christian Iddon to take the win, showcasing his talent on the track.
Ryan Vickers and Danny Kent engaged in a fierce battle for fifth, with Vickers ultimately coming out on top. Jason O'Halloran and Rory Skinner also put on a show, with O'Halloran holding off Skinner to finish seventh.
On Monday, Kyle Ryde continued to impress by setting the pace in the warm-up session. The young rider showed that he was a force to be reckoned with, demonstrating his skill and determination.
But it was the Hager PBM DUCATI of Glenn Irwin #2 who took the spoils and a 3 out of 3 wins over the weekend ๐
