William Creighton and Liam Regan made a spectacular return to the Probite British Rally Championship on Sunday, February 23, storming to victory at the opening round of the 2025 season, the East Riding Stages Rally. Their dominant performance not only secured them their maiden BRC victory but also reinforced their status as serious title contenders for the year ahead.

After finishing as runners-up in last year’s championship, Creighton and Regan wasted no time in asserting themselves at the top of the leaderboard. The duo controlled the event from the outset, winning an impressive seven out of ten stages and setting a blistering pace throughout the rally. Their Michelin-backed Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 proved to be the perfect machine for the challenging conditions, and they crossed the finish line with a commanding lead of over 23 seconds ahead of their nearest rivals, Keith Cronin and Mikie Galvin. James Williams and Ross Whittock secured third place on the podium, finishing just ten seconds further behind.

Beyond his BRC success, Creighton also clinched the overall rally victory, delivering a truly stunning drive against a fiercely competitive field. His performance demonstrated both his raw speed and strategic approach, allowing him to navigate the demanding stages with precision while maintaining his advantage over the chasing pack.

The East Riding Stages Rally, now in its fourth year, has rapidly grown into a highly respected event on the British rallying calendar. The Beverley-based rally once again proved to be a challenging test for crews, with unpredictable weather conditions adding an extra layer of difficulty. Slippery surfaces, tight corners, and fast straights demanded a careful balance of aggression and control, testing the skills of even the most experienced drivers. Despite the tricky conditions, the event continued to showcase thrilling competition and is expected to remain a staple in the BRC for years to come.

With the opening round now complete, the focus shifts to the next chapter in the 2025 British Rally Championship—the Carlisle Stages in April. As the crews prepare for another demanding challenge, Creighton and Regan will be looking to carry their momentum forward, while their rivals will be eager to close the gap and stake their own claim for championship glory.
