ELITE MOTORSPORT’S WALKER EXTENDS GB4 DRIVER’S SERIES LEAD
Matthew Jordan -
Norfolk team placed second in Teams’ standings
Elite Motorsport’s Alex Walker goes to Silverstone early next month (7-8 May) having extended his lead advantage in the GB4 standings with Jack Sherwood placed eighth. Elite lie second in the Teams’ title race.
Walker enjoyed a phenomenal Easter at Oulton Park (16-18 Apr). He claimed pole-position for Races 1 & 2 followed by an emphatic Race 1 victory – winning by over 10-seconds in the 18mins race plus fastest race lap on Easter Saturday.
Alex followed that up with his third win from five races on Easter Monday – plus a fastest lap again – and rounded of a stunning second GB4 event with seventh in the reverse grid Race 3 having run fifth. Unsurprisingly, his sterling work earned him the Sunoco Driver Award.
Sherwood had a spin on what would have been his best quali lap before finishing seventh in Race 1 – hindered at the start by two stalled cars. A battling 10th place in Race 2 after contact before a well-earned sixth place – Jack’s best result of the season to date – in Race 3.
