RALPH THOMPSON - Photographer - UK

Ralph’s passion for motorsport began with watching Formula 1 and visiting events like Goodwood Festival of Speed with his Dad, who often set off with his friends to watch the Nürburgring and Le Mans 24hr races.

Being surrounded by that world of speed, sound, and atmosphere from the age of 4, sparked something in him that naturally grew into photography. Now, as a motorsport photographer, Ralph loves capturing those fleeting moments, freezing speed, adrenaline, and profound intensity.

Whether it’s at iconic events like Goodwood, race weekends at Silverstone and Brands Hatch, or more intimate local meets and private shoots. As a member of the PLN Junior Squad, Ralph is eager to bring his desire for fast-paced moments and his drive to share compelling stories from the world of motorsport.

Timo Koch - Photographer - Germany

Timo is a 16-year-old junior photographer for Pitlane News, based in Lower Saxony, Germany.
Combining the passions of both his parents, with a father who is a former racing driver and a mother with a love for photography, Timo found motorsport through the lens at an early age.

After picking up an old camera from his mum, he began experimenting with nature photography, before discovering his true passion trackside.

Today, Timo captures as many races as possible, focusing on freezing the emotions, atmosphere, and untold stories that make motorsport such a powerful and beautiful sport.

Ffin Koehler-Price - Photographer - UK

Ffin is a 17-year-old motorsport photographer from the South East of England, with a passion for racing that began almost before he could walk. Some of his earliest memories are spent sitting in the pits at Brands Hatch during his dad’s motorbike track days, absorbing the noise, the atmosphere, and the rhythm of life at the circuit from the age of two.

Those trips to Brands Hatch and other circuits never stopped, but everything changed in 2023 at the MotoGP final round in Valencia. Armed with his mum’s old camera, Ffin discovered a new way to connect with motorsport. Capturing the speed, the risk, and the raw adrenaline of the track through a lens became more than a hobby. It became his focus.

Since then, Ffin’s craft and understanding of motorsport photography have developed rapidly. He is now a familiar face around Brands Hatch, regardless of what is racing that weekend, always ready to capture the moments that define the sport. Through the PLN Junior Squad, Ffin is learning to share those moments with a wider audience, telling stories from the circuit with energy, authenticity, and a clear love for motorsport.
Welcome to the PLN Junior Squad, Ffin.

Tristan Bourdier - Photographer- UK

Tristan is a lifelong motorsport enthusiast who grew up watching both the World Rally Championship and Formula 1 from an early age.

He began his media journey working as an assistant cameraman on documentary and short film productions, gaining valuable on-set experience before moving into photography and aerial media. Over the past six years, Tristan has developed a strong commercial portfolio delivering photography, drone, and FPV work across the travel, real estate, and automotive sectors, as well as for a range of private businesses.

While successful in these fields, his long-term ambition has always been to work within the sport he is most passionate about - motorsport. With prior experience working trackside, Tristan is focused on gaining as much time around race machinery as possible, experimenting with new photographic techniques and exploring the future potential of drone-based capture within live racing environments.

His ultimate goal is to photograph the world’s leading racing series at the highest professional level.
