Fresh off the back of announcing its switch from Audi R8s to Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R machinery for the 2025 season, Steller Motorsport is set to embark on a rigorous preseason testing schedule that will see the cars on track for a total of nine days across two circuits in Europe this month.
The testing programme will be spearheaded by Sennan Fielding, with whom the team has a long-standing relationship, which includes a British GT4 Championship in 2022.
Beginning at Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya, the team will spend a number of days in Spain before travelling to France and Circuit Paul Ricard for further testing, ahead of the first GT World Challenge Europe official test days at the same venue on 10-11 March.

Max Daymond, Steller Motorsport team manager, said, “We’re looking forward to finally being able to get our cars on track and really begin our preparations in earnest for the season ahead. We’ve had a long and successful relationship with AudiSport and we’re grateful for their support over the last six seasons. However, we’re also excited to be entering a new chapter with a new breed of GT car with the Corvette Z06.
“The new cars only arrived with us recently and immediately the team began stripping them down to become familiar with them, learn more about them, and while they arrive race-ready there are still things we do and modify based on our experience to suit our needs and requirements.

“Sennan is again stepping into the cockpit for our testing programme. We obviously know him well and what he can bring to the table with his skill and experience, and he’s spent some time in the sim to ensure he’s in the best position possible when we take to the track next week. There’s a lot to learn with a new car, for him as a driver and for us as a team, but we’re confident in our abilities and we know the level of work we’ve been putting into this preseason so far.”

Sennan Fielding added, “Learning and setting up a brand new car to ensure its competitiveness takes a lot of hard work, but it’s also certainly an exciting challenge. I’ve done laps in the factory sim during a recent visit, followed up by a few days at Steller HQ on their simulator to try and better understand the new Corvette. where its strengths might be and how we’ll need to set the car up to maximise those. Now, I’m looking forward to getting in the car for real in Barcelona to build on the work the team has done in the workshop, with the aim of finding a good base setting that can be used as a starting point for any driver that gets in the car this season.”
