The annual Festival of Speed at Goodwood is a highly anticipated motorsports event that brings together racing enthusiasts from around the world. This year, the festival did not disappoint as the weather held out, for the lucky ones, providing the perfect backdrop for an exhilarating weekend of speed and excitement.
One of the major highlights of this year's festival was the presence of Formula 1 cars, screaming down the historic Goodwood hill climb. Spectators were treated to the sight and sound of these high-performance machines from RedBull, Mercedes, Ferrari to name but a few.. They seemed to have a9t of fun out there too... Especially the MercsAMG test drivers... They delighted the fans with some serious donuts...
Test drivers "Esteban Gutiรฉrrez and Ant Davidson" for Mercedes F1, put on a great Donut show and RedBulls Daniel Ricciardo did the Hill in style. Williams Academy also had Lia Block ( Extreme E - Carl Cox Motorsport) in the Williams W ๐๐๐๐.. Showing her F1 Academy skills on the Hill.
Another exciting moment came when the Jaguar TCS Formula E team made an appearance. We had the opportunity to speak with their Team Principal, James Barclay, who shared insights into the world of electric racing and the team's ambitions for the future.
However, the true kings of the hill this year were Czinger Cars with their C21 boasting over 1300bhp. We had the privilege of chatting with their Chief Engineer, Ewan Baldry, who shed light on the innovative 3D printed construction of this hyper car, all the way from the USA. And it looked mean in Rattlesnake Green..

Yet, perhaps the most poignant moment of the festival was when Isle of Man TT Race Legend and GOAT, Michael Dunlop, stood alongside the Duke of Richmond in a touching tribute to Dunlop's remarkable achievement of 29 TT wins. The image of these two legends together will undoubtedly be etched in the memories of all who witnessed it. Another athlete supported by CCM, (cheers Carl..#Legend )
The atmosphere as Michael rode up the drive, to the sound of ACDCs Thunder... was truly a bit special. The Duke Meets the King. A fantastic tribute , WELL earned and gracefully accepted.... #GOATMemories
In addition, the presence of Sir Jackie Stewart added a touch of royalty to the event. Although the Race Against Dementia team was not present, Sir Jackie's presence alone was enough to inspire and captivate the audience.
Overall, the 2024 Festival of Speed at Goodwood was a resounding success, delivering thrills and excitement to all who attended.
